Silk Scarf Painting (with Wax Resist) with Helen Moon

  • Murray Bridge Regional Gallery 27 Sixth Street Murray Bridge, SA, 5253 Australia (map)

Use wax and ink to create unique and colourful silk scarves!

Learn about painting on silk, playing with colour and experimenting with different techniques, with a focus on creating designs using a wax resist. This is a very forgiving painting medium, as the colours move and blend… there are no mistakes!

Under the tuteledge of experienced silk painter, Helen Moon, you will get to create two beautiful silk scarves to wear, or give as gifts. Over the years, Helen has explored many techniques of surface design, developing a sense for the language of colour and discovering endless possibilities in this painting medium.

This workshop is perfect for both beginners and those who've tried silk painting before but want to upgrade their skills with a new technique.
