Cynthia Schwertsik, My Name, 2018, Adelaide Central Gallery

Do you have a story about your first name? Maybe you prefer your nickname; perhaps you were named after a relative; or you might not like your name at all? We want to hear your story!

Artist Cynthia Schwertsik is researching and exploring stories about women in Murray Bridge and surrounds (both current and historical), using first names as a jumping point to share personal and collective narratives. The stories will be translated into a mural artwork called My Name inside the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery in August this year.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Call or email the artist on 0488 209 961 or my.name.artproject@gmail.com AND/OR visit in-person at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery from Thursday 26 – Saturday Sat 28 May.
